This is for every soul held captive by despair and hopelessness.
For every child robbed of their innocence.
For every parent robbed of the joy of seeing their precious child grow up.
For every dream of a better world swallowed up, swallowed up by souls so full of evil that they have every desire to demand blood. For evil does not come for some, but for all that are breathing.
Every soul witnesses the fall; the fall of humanity, love, and decency.
I can feel the pulse of darkness.
Can you?
Yet we continue to live.
We continue to breathe in, even when we receive a call that, starting now, warns us we are borrowing time, wasting time, pleading with time.
Those who think hate, will only think it harder.
Those who speak hate, will only speak it louder.
Those who live out hate, will only live it out in murder.
But those who Hope will Hope, and Hope and Hope.
Those who speak Truth today, will sing it to The Heavens tomorrow.
When one throws hate, another will dance in those flames.
Why?
Because those who hate are cowardly. They laugh at Strength because their souls are barely surviving.
But the souls of Hope are thriving.
We that Hope are not merely surviving, but growing.
There will be mourning, gnashing of teeth.
Bibles will burn, but the Living Word of God does not just reside in a book, it moves and breathes in we who choose Hope in a world that claims there is no Hope.
But be careful; Hoping in the banner of Red or Blue only breeds insanity.
For Jesus Christ does not defend political parties.
No, Jesus Christ defends the Human, the Individual, the child watching her innocence fade away as she witnesses another taking his last breath.
Jesus Christ defends the man who believes all he has left is evil inside his soul.
Jesus defends the family who kneels down in mourning.
Jesus Christ mourns with us.
He cries with us.
But then,
Our Messiah continues our story, because he believes in Hope. He is Hope, he is our only Hope.
And for that, Jesus is worth every single bruise.
If Jesus can bless those who persecute and curse him, if Jesus can rise again in the deepest depths of darkness, so can we.
We can praise God in our bruises, in the torture, the curses, the insanity, the evil.
We can cry for the souls lost, then we can cry out for Jesus’ Living Grace to touch and change the bitter hearts of those who cause us to cry in the first place.
Do not doubt Hope.
Hope can catch a bullet.
Hope can heal a diagnosis.
Hope can renew hearts.
Hope will shine into Everlasting Life.
So keep Hope alive.
And just so the hopeless never forget:
Prayer is always enough.
